Husband Writes Letter Detailing His Regrets After His Wife Almost Died During Childbirth

If you knew you were going to lose someone forever, what would you tell them?

Dawson Willford hadn't thought about it before, but he was faced with that question when his wife had an emergency C-section last summer and almost died during the procedure, Danson explained on Facebook. His wife, Jacqueline, and his newborn son, Gabriel, are both recovering now, but that didn't stop this new dad from sharing exactly what he wanted to say during that near-death experience.

In this Facebook post, Dawson revealed all of the regrets he had about his relationship with his wife, family, and faith in a post that has now been shared more than 46,000 times. "On July 7, 2016 at 12:13 a.m. my wife was dying," he wrote. "She just had an emergency C-section and went into shock. I stood by her head while she was bleeding out and remembered every fight we ever had and the things I never did for her. I wanted to stop everything and start all over again."

He continued by listing all of the things he wished he had done differently like praying and loving her differently. Both his wife and child are healthy, and now this new dad has the chance to create the family and relationship he's always wanted.
