15-year-old virgin raped given N200 after being raped by a tricycle rider

15-year-old Semisola Olona (not real names) was allegedly raped by a commercial tricycle rider, known as Mr. Lati Ajoje.Olona, a senior secondary one student in a Lagos school, said Ajoje was her mother’s customer and she knew him before the incident. Olona’s mother runs a canteen in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.

She told Punch that she never believed Ajoje would rape her because he was a frequent customer at her mother’s shop.

The Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu,while reacting to the recent report by the Centre for Democracy and Development, said it was mischievous to attribute to the President promises he did not make during the campaigns and hold him accountable.

Man surrenders to police 6 months after murdering his 23-year-old cousin.

A 22-year-old man,Ndifreke Joseph Clement has surrendered himself to the police after  murdering his 23-year-old cousin, Ubong Edet,six months after the crime.

Clement, a native of Akon Itam, Itu Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, said he slashed his cousin’s throat after beating him to coma because Edet slept with his girlfriend in August 2015.
He told Vanguard:

“I cannot remember the exact date now, but it occurred in a night in August 2015 in the one room apartment we shared. On that day, I returned from work to meet the door locked.

Hoodlums stab LAWMA worker in the eye for reporting their activities to the police

A worker with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency, Oluwaseun Thomas, is currently on admission at a private hospital on the Lagos Island, after hoodlums stabbed him in the eye for allegedly reporting their activities to the police.

Thomas was said to have been beaten up by the hoodlums, before they stabbed him in the eye.

Punch Metro learnt that Thomas, whose work area was Oja Oba Market on Dosumu Street, was initially rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, to remove the hoodlums’ knife which was left in his head, before being taken to a private hospital for further treatment.

35 year-old man dragged to court for defiling 3 month old baby in Lagos, Nigeria

A 35-year-old man, Oladele Oladunmoni, who allegedly poked his finger into the private part of a three-month-old baby, was yesterday arraigned in a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos.
According to Vanguard, the prosecutor, Inspector Rita Momah, told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 18 at his residence.

Momah said the accused, who lives in the same building with the mother of the baby, viciously forced his finger into the baby’s private part, adding “a medical doctor, who examined the baby, confirmed that she was defiled.”The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.The magistrate, Mrs F. A. Adeeyo, granted the accused N500,000 bail, with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till March 14 for mention.

I'm the only woman Ojukwu married legally- Bianca tells court

Widow of the late Ikemba of Nnewi, Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, Bianca, yesterday told a High Court sitting in Igbosere, Lagos, that she is the only woman that was legally married to Ojukwu.
She declared this before Justice Abdulfattah Lawal, in the ongoing legal battle between her children and the deceased’s brothers over the family estate.
She admitted that Ojukwu has eight children, including the claimants, Afamefuna and Nwachukwu, but that being the only one Ojukwu wedded in court, church and according to traditional marriage rites, she is the only one legally married to him.

The former beauty queen admitted that neither she nor her children are shareholders or directors in Ojukwu Transport Limited (OTL), one of the property in the family estate.


Mrs. Ojukwu told the court that the suit is for the preservation of the rights of her children alone, and not that of Ojukwu’s other children. She said some of the property was in her husband’s possession before his demise and he personally collected their rent.

A 13-year-old German girl who claimed she had been kidnapped and raped by migrants made up the entire story, police have said.

The girl, only known as Lisa F, told police she had been taken from a suburb in east Berlin and held captive for 30 hours by 'foreign-looking' men who raped her,the Guardian reports..
The parents of the teenager, , reported her missing on 11 January after she failed to appear at school in the Marzahn district of the capital. She reappeared 30 hours later with injuries on her face, and told her parents she had been attacked by men of Middle Eastern or north African appearance. News of the incident spread on social media, sparking outrage among Berlin’s Russian-German community. 

But when she was questioned by trained specialists three days later “she immediately admitted that the story of the rape was not true”, said the spokesman for the state prosecutor, Martin Steltner. 

He said the teenager had been scared of going home after the school had contacted her parents over an incident at school. 

Analysis of the teenager’s mobile phone records showed she had spent the night with a friend, who is not being treated as a suspect. 

Her mother told Der Spiegel magazine on Sunday that Lisa was “doing very badly” and was having treatment in a psychiatric ward.

3 men sentenced to death for gang-raping a woman in India (photo)

Three men were sentenced to death on Saturday by an Indian court for the gang-rape and murder of a student, in a case that sparked outrage over women's safety. 

The court in Kolkata sentenced Saiful Ali, Ansar Ali and Amin Ali to the death penalty and a further three defendants, Sheikh Emanul Islam, Aminur Islam and Bhola Naskar, were given life sentences after being convicted of gang rape, criminal conspiracy and causing disappearance of evidence.The 20-year-old woman was targeted as she walked home after an exam in 2013 in the village of Kamduni, in the eastern state of West Bengal. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was grabbed after getting off the bus before being dragged to a nearby abandoned farm.
