Daniel Craig breaks record as the highest James Bond ever as he earns $60m for spectre action
Daniel Craig is the highest-paid James Bond star ever as the Spectre action hero is said to be in line to earn around £39million for his role in 007's latest adventure.
According to The Sun, the actor's deal for his salary and profit share is worth more than the combined earnings of all the men to take on the role.A source close to MGM said:
Daniel's deal means he'll bank $24million (£15.66m) for acting, around $6million (£3.82m) for endorsements and $30million (£19.58m) if the financial projections are on course."Even taking inflation into account he is by far the highest paid Bond actor."
Craig's predecessor Pierce Brosnan is said to be in second place with £24.4million across his four films, whilst George Lazenby pulled in just £34,000 for On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
However, he says his deal with Bond series is done. When asked if he would film another, the actor said
Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists.
"No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."

Fake Nigerian Nurse Jailed over Abortion
A quack nurse, Taibat Jegede, popularly called Alhaja, was Tuesday, reportedly sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in Ado Ekiti for killing a client, one Seyi Ibitoye, after attempting to carry out an abortion on her which allegedly went bad.
The accused had once been imprisoned on a similar charge.The deceased who died of bleeding complications in May 2012.
She dropped out from the College of Health Technology, Akure in 2006.
According to reports,the abortion was one of the series carried out by the accused and it was done in her one bedroom apartment, where she was a neighbour with the deceased.
Meanwhile, Alhaja who claimed to be a licensed agent, claimed she had worked in different places, including the British American Tobacco clinic in Ibadan, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and eventually in Rauz Hospital, Apo in Abuja.
The lady who is in her 30’s, reportedly claimed that she had treated the deceased for body pains when she complained of irregularities from her menstrual period.
The presiding Judge, Justice Abodunde, ruled that the evidence administered were the best guide to convict the accused, since a trial court can convict on even single evidence proven beyond reasonable doubt.

A new book, Kim by Sean Smith, has claimed Kim first had sex with Michael Jackson's nephew TJ.
The book details her young romance with the star throughout her high school years before she was to cross paths with RJ, Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries and her now husband Kanye West.
Kim has opened up about losing her virginity in the past and said she sought advice from her mother Kris Jenner before her first time.
"When I did want to have sex the first time I was almost 15," she said."
Explaining how she approached her mum, she continued:
"I was like, 'I think I’m going to, or I want to,' and she was like, 'OK, so this is what we’re gonna do, we’re gonna put you on birth control,’ and she was like, really open and honest with me."
Kim celebrated her 14th birthday at Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch and later described it as "the most magical place on earth" to People magazine.
"When you drove up there were baby elephants and chimpanzees in overall, and there was all the rides. It was everything you can possibly imagine," she said.
TJ went on to become one third of the boyband 3T and is now married with three children.
Speaking about Kim last year, TJ told Reveal magazine:
"I still talk the family every now and then, though not too much because our schedules are pretty busy. I dated Kim when my mother passed away, so I was actually quite close to the family when I was young."

Vigilante kills self while scaring away thieves in Lagos
A member of a neighbourhood watch, Ogundare Ekundayo, has shot himself dead while attempting to scare away thieves from the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State.
According to PUNCH Metro ,the deceased was among a three-man team guarding Osholanke Street, Ebute Meta.There were, however, two of them on duty on the fateful day.
It was gathered that around 4am, when they were expected to round off work, Ekundayo reportedly shot into the air to scare away lurking thieves as was the guards’ custom.
As he fired a shot, the bullet hit an object which ricocheted it towards him.The bullet was said to have struck him in the head.
His duty colleague, Fatai Raimi, reportedly ran to the spot upon hearing the shot, and discovered the victim dead.
The police arrested Raimi, who insisted that he was innocent.He said,
“I have known the deceased for some time now. He was my boss; he recruited me into the vigilance group, but we were employed by the community.
“There were three of us guarding Osholanke Street, but the third person did not come that day because he was ill.My master (Ekundayo) and I were together, but when it was getting to 4am, he went down the street alone.“I suddenly heard a shot from his gun and I rushed there only to see he had mistakenly shot himself dead.”
A source told PUNCH Metro that the victim was not properly trained on how to use a gun.
The source said the police were investigating how he came by the gun he was using for his job.
He said,
“The man was not trained to use a gun. He did not handle it well and when he opened fire, apparently to tell the residents they were done for the day and to scare any thief, the bullet hit him instead.
“But one thing that is also not clear is how the man and his team had access to a gun. We are investigating all these.”
Our correspondent learnt that the police could not conduct an autopsy on the victim due to the pressure from his relatives who wanted him buried.
His corpse was said to have been released to the family for burial, while the suspect was transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation.
Nigerian drug smuggler arrested for the 3rd time in India
A 50-year-old Nigerian national was arrested on Wednesday with 1.5 kg hashish and one kg amphetamine.Uruakpa Ahmed alias Baba Don, claimed by Delhi Police as an international drug smuggler, was arrested from his rented house in Mahavir Enclave in west Delhi.
Police said]Baba Don was earlier arrested by Customs officials in Delhi in 2002 for possessing 1.6 kg heroin. He was also arrested by the Special Cell for possessing 865 gm cocaine in 2009.
“Three members of this international cartel Deepak Pandey, Paramjeet Singh and Devender Pal Singh were held on June 29. But, he managed to give a slip,”
Ahmed, the kingpin of this gang, told police about another Nigerian Michel, a resident of south Delhi, who provided him the consignment of the drug recovered from his possession.
The official said Ahmed arrived in India in 2002 on a business visa.
“He later came in contact with his fellow Nigerians indulging in drug trafficking and started supplying drugs on their instances. He worked as carrier for them,” the official said.
On a tip-off, a raid was conducted on October 7 at the rented house of Baba Don and he was arrested. Over 1.5 kg hashish and 1 kg amphetamine has been recovered at his instance.

Adultery Landed a Nigerian based in South Africa in prison custody
A Nigerian based in South Africa who brought back his family to Nigeria from South Africa has landed in prison custody at Kirikiri, Lagos State, western Nigeria, over alleged infidelity.
This followed his arraignment before a Magistrates’ court in Ejigbo for allegedly defrauding his secret lover under false claims.
The 44-year-old Raph Emmason, was arrested by the police at Shasha after he allegedly defrauded Miss Glory Chukwu to the tune of N400,000 under false pretence of procuring her a Visa and taking her to South Africa as his wife.
P.M.NEWS gathered that Emmason from Mbano in Imo State had lived in South Africa for nine years and decided to relocate his wife, Rita, and two children to Nigeria.
He provided accommodation for them in Port Harcourt in Rivers State and told his wife he was returning to South Africa. And his wife believed him.
Unknown to Rita, Emmason allegedly went and hid in Abuja with his lover, Glory for several months.Whenever he called Rita on phone, he would pretend that he was in South Africa.
Emmason also allegedly lied to his lover, Glory, that he was not yet married and promised to marry her and to take her and her three brothers, Uchenna, Okoye and Onyimba to South Africa.
Glory believed him and they were living together in Glory’s apartment as husband and wife as well using Glory’s official car.
He further allegedly demanded some money from her to add to his own to procure four visas which she gave him.
P.M.NEWS gathered that after he collected the money, he dumped her and relocated to Lagos and went and lodged in a hotel with another woman.He did not procure any visa nor return Glory’s money.Glory later traced him to a hotel where he lodged in Lagos and invited the police to arrest him.
When the police requested for the money, he said he had used it to procure three visas which the police later discovered were fake.
Emmason was charged to court with obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.He pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs J. O. E. Adeyemi granted him bail with two sureties who must show evidence of tax payment.
He was remanded in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
When his wife, Rita, was contacted, she insisted that Emmason was in South Africa.It was when she was persuaded to go to the court to verify that she discovered that it was actually her husband.
She and other members of his family who followed her left the court premises in disbelief and dejected.
The matter was adjourned till 19 October, 2015

Enyeama's row with the coach reportedly started after he arrived at the Nigeria camp on Tuesday, one day after Monday’s deadline, after attending his mother’s funeral over the weekend in his home town.
According to reports, Oliseh was unhappy about his captain’s late arrival and demoted him at a team meeting after dinner, naming CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa as the new captain.Speaking to Colin Udoh of ESPN FC,Enyeama said

According to People Daily Online, the incredible gridlock, which took place on one of the country's busiest and widest highways, was caused by a new checkpoint.
The jam began at around 2pm just outside the capital city on the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, which has 50 around lanes.
At the time, hundreds of thousands of Beijing residents were attempting to return home from their trips on the second to the last day of the week-long national holiday.
