Have always had the fright of rushing water not to talk more of a large mass of water.

Our destination was the Elegushi beach on the lagos island. I helped pack all what we needed as fast as possible and hurried through with the other preparations to say I was eager to go was an understatement . On getting there, you have to pay the entrance fee of 1000 naira to have access in. Was I terrified at the sight of the water ? I could not tell at first but the sight was lovely, I just looked on, suddenly and all the fears of going to the beach vanished and all I wanted to do all of a sudden was to go close to the water and have fun. Then I remembered what my mom told me on my first day of going to just a pool with friends. It was an excursion at a college I attended and I had taken an extra cloth to attempt swimming only for my mom to start warning me not to enter the water at all nor even go close as if she saw a vision. I assured her I was not going to enter the water but on the contrary I did all she said I should not and even took pictures. I got home that day and showed my sisters the pictures they laughed and we hid the pictures from my mom till date.( that's a girl code there...lol).

Water Ministry Budgets N4bn For Research In 2017 Budget

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources has budgeted N4 billion for research and development as well as governance institutional reform this 

year. Analysis of the 2017 budget of the ministry’s headquarters shows that N2.21 billion has been earmarked fof “governance and 

institutional reforms,” while “research and development” is N1.14 billion.

The ministry is planning to spend N360 million on “monitoring and evaluation.”

These monies were captured under “acquisition of non-tangible assets” of the headquarters “other capital projects.”

Inflation rate becoming unbearable, says Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has urged the Federal Government to bring Nigeria out of the throes of recession by urgently reviewing its monetary policies.

Tinubu spoke on Wednesday as a guest lecturer at the National Defence College Course 25 lecture, titled, “Strategic Leadership: My Political Experiences.”

Lagos engineer sets lover, rival ablaze, poisons self

Life on Ebijimi Street in the Meiran area of Lagos has yet to be fully restored after a jilted engineer allegedly killed his lover, his rival and poisoned himself.

The woman, Oriyomi Folarin, a divorcee popularly called Iya Corner, operated a beer parlor on the street and had three grown-up children.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the engineer, identified as Ogundare, opened the shop for the woman and rented an apartment for her in the Agbado area of Ogun State.

Graduate remanded in prison for murder, robbery

An Osun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Osogbo has ordered that a graduate of one of the state owned universities in the South West, Segun Oluwalogbon, be remanded in the Ilesa Prison till March 17, 2017, for alleged murder and robbery.

The accused was arraigned on Wednesday on three counts, before the magistrate court presided over by Mrs. Falilat Sodamade.

Oluwalogbon had told PUNCH Metro when he was paraded last week that he was innocent.
