Woman made porn in church and says she's an angel of God

A woman who made porn films in a church and was caught after a man recognised her breasts has claimed she's "an angel" compared to other sinners. The 29-year-old, known only as 'Babsi', was arraigned before an Australian court. When asked what had motivated her to choose a church for a porn movie, she said:
"Believe me, if you look at what other people get up to I am really an angel."

"To be honest I find the whole thing completely inhuman."I didn't have any idea it was illegal. But I am proud of the fact that the whole country has been looking at these videos, it's because I'm simply really good at what I do.

" She was later given a three-month suspended prison sentence. She has apologised to the priest and been ordered to pay £4,230 - roughly half of what she had earned, from the videos. UK mirror reports that, although the Polish-born woman's face was not visible in the films, an informant tipped off police after an appeal for information.Local priest Bernhard Pauer notified police after a parishioner in Hoersching, Austria, spotted the inside of the church in the clip while surfing the internet.

The film, which shows the woman opening her top and caressing her breasts, does not show her head. Her hands are visible and she is holding what appears to be a Bible and a rosary, as well as a sex toy which she uses on herself.

Ritualists takes over Osun state as more mutilated bodies are found

Days after a mutilated corpse of an unidentified lady was found inside an uncompleted building in Magaji Area of Iwo, Osun State, unidentified persons suspected to be ritualists in the early hours of yesterday dumped two unidentified mutilated bodies on Ife/Ibadan Expressway.

The incident, which would be the second reported case of suspected ritual killing in Osun State in the last five days has been generating confusion and panic among many residents of the state.

Daily Sun was reliably informed that the bodies must have been dumped by two different vehicles coming from Ibadan, towards Ife before day break. A man, who claimed to be among the first set of people that arrived at the scene where the bodies were dumped, who simply identified himself as Adekunle, said:

“We strongly suspect that the bodies were dumped as early as 4 a.m.From our observations, the same parts were missing in both bodies. Heads, private parts and their limbs were all cut off. We only met the torsos. We could not also determine the sexes of the bodies because unsuspecting vehicles had smashed them possibly because it was still dark when they were dumped.

” Another resident of Wasinmi, who preferred anonymity, urged security agents to intensify surveillance on the area, stressing that cases of ritual killings are usually on the increase during end of the year and election period.

According to him, ritualists, especially those involved in picking unsuspecting passengers on the road may have set up camps in the forest around the expressway. He, therefore, called on the police to ensure all-day-round monitoring of activities on and around the road to put an end to activities of ritualists in the area.

Woman raped and stabbed by man she met on Facebook

A Romanian woman who was left for dead after being raped and stabbed in the neck with a screwdriver managed to tell police the identity of her alleged attacker before slipping into a coma. Eliza Dragne, 30, met 29-year-old Nicu Alin Cristea on Facebook, where he claimed to be a humanitarian worker helping orphaned children.

In fact he was a newly married construction worker who persuaded Miss Dragne to go no a date with him and arranged to pick her up in his car.Miss Dragne had kept the new relationship secret from friends and family, who had no idea where she was going.

According to Dailymail,Cristea arrived as planned, but instead of driving to the bar the pair had picked for the date, he took her to a remote spot near Alexandria, southern Romanian, before attacking her, it is claimed.

According to police Miss Dragne was savagely beaten and raped, before being strangled and repeatedly stabbed in the neck with a screwdriver. Thinking she was dead, Cristea took her mobile, logged in to her Facebook account, deleted all of his messages to her, then abandoned her in a field police say.

But Miss Dragne survived the attack and crawled naked through the countryside to a main road were she caught the attention of a passing driver who called police.Investigators estimate that it could have taken her as long as two hours to reach the spot after being abandoned. Friends had no idea about the relationship or the meeting, and so did not alert the authorities. Because of the extent of her injuries, officers were forced to call for an air ambulance to take her to hospital in the capital of Bucharest.

While she was being rushed to hospital she managed to reveal the identity of her alleged attacker to officers riding alongside her. Shortly after arriving at Bagdasar-Arseni Hospital Miss Dragne slipped into a coma, and despite the efforts of surgeons, passed away.Meanwhile police officers had tracked down Cristea, and when they arrived at his home, found him in the middle of a one month anniversary party with wife Elena, 28 He initially denied ever having met the victim, but was told by officers that she had lived long enough to name him as the attacker.

A judge ruled that Cristea be kept in prison for a month while police continue their investigation. Since news of the arrest, other alleged victims of Cristea have come forward claiming that they were also assaulted by him. One woman, who has not been named, said he came to her house to do some building work, but when he realised she was alone, he raped her. She claimed she was left with a fractured skull and broken hand after the attack, and was terrified that if she went to the police he would return and kill her.

Police defend trigger-happy officer who brutalized couple

Police I.G ordered full scale investigation into the issue of 29-year-old photographer, Ejeh Smith, who was brutalised by a policeman attached to the Ikoyi Police Division along with his wife, Grace. The police authorities alledged that the couple engaged the policeman in a scuffle, adding that since the incident happened, they had refused to make statements to the police.

According to  Punch, the police spokesman, Nwosu, while reacting to the reports, said the police had commenced disciplinary action against the corporal. It was learnt that Ogunsanya had spent 11 years in the Nigeria Police Force. He said....

“Investigation is ongoing because as a command, we are alive to our responsibility and we do not condone any act of incivility to members of the public “However, the police corporal is alleging that the couple fought him in uniform. The man in question (Ejeh) was alleged to be drunk, and since that incident happened, he has refused to make statements to the police. If you have a good case, why will you say you don’t want to make statement? The Ikoyi DPO they are mentioning said she arrived at the scene and ordered all of them to be taken to the station. She was the one who even issued medical forms to them so they could go to the hospital.

“The man (Ejeh) told her (DPO) that he had taken her picture and would send it to his pastor to pray against her. I was told that he made the station uncomfortable. Can that be right? Is that the way to behave? We are interested in flushing out the bad eggs in the system and if this officer that has been accused is one of them, we will flush him out.

” He added that Ogunsanya had been transferred from the Ikoyi Division to the command headquarters where he was being detained. While reacting to the police claims, Ejeh said he was not drunk on the night of the incident, adding that the police were merely cooking up allegations against him “I was not drunk that night because I was coming from Ikeja where I worked. I met my wife at Obalende from where we took the cab. I was not drunk at all.

“I also fault the claim that I fought with the policeman because nothing like that happened. He was the one who hit me with his rifle in the eye, so how can a man who could barely see fight again? “And yes, I told them I couldn’t make statement because my eyesight had been affected. I cannot see with one eye right now. I told our family lawyer about this and he said he would write a petition where he will state the case for us.

” , Ejeh Smith, and his wife, Grace, were on their way home in a taxi they boarded at Obalende. The cab was reportedly stopped at the Lekki Roundabout by a team of policemen patrolling the area.According to the taxi driver, Ndubuisi Iheaka, the police corporal checked the boot of the car before demanding his driving licence.Iheaka said while he was about getting the driving licence, Ogunsanya decided to beam his torchlight on his passengers. The couple was said to have protested the action, telling him that the inner lights of the vehicle, which were on, was enough for him to see their faces.

The policeman reportedly asked them to alight after which an argument ensued, which degenerated into a scuffle. In the process, Ogunsanya allegedly punched Ejeh in the face and also allegedly hit him in the face with the butt of his rifle. He thereafter slapped Grace and stepped on her stomach. The Ikoyi Divisional Police Officer, Mrs Aisha Haruna, who arrived at the scene was accused by the couple of backing the policeman’s action.

They filled the hospital. I was pregnant when they abducted me. After a week I gave birth. Four days after I gave birth, we were moved.

We refused to convert and young men took us to another place. They told me if I renounce my religion, they would take me to the Muslim household to be married off but I told them I would not change my religion. They were going to kill us but the elders intervened.
The woman I was with decided to go over the wall. The first one went and then we handed our children over the wall and that was how we escaped" she said. Another victim of the sects terror attacks, narrates how the sect members chopped off his hands ..

Finland deported 100 Nigerian citizens

About100 Nigerians were deported from Finland today Thursday December 11th after failing to get asylum.

According to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the deportees included women, children and whole families. They arrived at the Cargo Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, at 7a.m. aboard cargo airline - Privilege Gourment.   A deportee, Mr Isaac Ejiofor, told NAN that he had no criminal records in Finland and wondered why he was deported after spending over one year in the asylum camp. Ejiofor said he was earlier in Greece but later travelled to Finland to seek asylum in a bid to get a permit to work there.

"A policeman asked me what I want since I did not have any criminal record to warrant my deportation. I said I wanted to work and live a normal life in Finland, so he (policeman) told me to seek asylum and I did that. I was taken to the asylum camp and was there for more than a year processing my work documents. There were other African nationals there with four Nigerians. Suddenly, we, the Nigerians were brought out and deported without any reason.

"The Nigerian Embassy in Finland refused to come to my aid, even after I paid 1,500 euros to embassy officials’’, he alleged.  Another deportee, who wanted to be identified as Jackso, alleged that officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Finland colluded with some Finnish immigration officers to extort money from asylum seekers in the camp. Jackso said that the embassy officials promised to assist them to get work permits from the Finnish authority.

A female deportee, simply called Esther, said that she and her husband had been in Finland for over 14 years and was surprised that they were deported without committing any offense. Esther said she was deported along with her husband and seven-year old daughter without any compensation. She said that other Africans in the camp were given an opportunity to stay and work in Finland, but that the Finnish authorities were hostile to Nigerians. She appealed to the Federal Government to come to their aid, particularly Nigerians in Finland and other European countries. She said most Nigerians in asylum in Finland came from other parts of Europe like Greece, Denmark, Sweden and Norway in order to acquire work documents.

NAN reports that of the deportees, three men were arrested for violence and were taken to the MMIA Police Station. Some others were arrested on arrival by the police for travel offenses and taken by a sheriff bus to the Criminal Investigation Department, Nigerian Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Football fan passes note to a man being cheated by his girlfriend during a match

An American football fan who went to watch a game passed a note to a man sitting in front of him (note pictured right) after spotting the man's pregnant girlfriend sending romantic text messages to some other guy named 'Jason' through out the match.

The man named Lye said he was there to watch a game when he saw the woman sending messages like 'I wish I was with you all day' and 'I will see you as soon as I am done with him', and couldn't help himself but tell the woman's partner at the end of the game what she'd been up to.   He then later posted his experience on Facebook, explaining to his followers what happened and even shared a photo of the note he sent to the man and a picture of the couple at the game.
The images have since gone viral with many questioning if he was right to wade into a complete stranger's relationship. Lye claimed in his post that the woman kept the phone screen tilted out of eyesight of the man seated next to her, and would even shut it off and put it away when he engaged her in conversation. Feeling sympathetic for the man seated in front of him, who he believes was being cheated on, Lye got up near the end of the game to find a pen and piece of paper to write the stranger a note.

When the man got up to leave, Lye handed the piece of paper to him and said to read it when he got home.  Lye later took to Facebook to post an image of the note and the woman who was was seated in front of him, showing the back of her head with her phone out, writing a text.  The pictures have since gone viral online and many have called Lye out for interjecting himself into the stranger's relationship.
Lye has since defended his actions to Mad World News, saying he usually likes to stay out of other people's business, but overheard a few rude comments the woman made to the man she was with that made him pity her partner.

He says at one point in the game, another spectator commented on the size of a portion of fries saying: 'Wow! For the price they charge for fries here, that's pretty small. They barely give you anything.' The woman in question allegedly quipped back: 'It's okay, I'm [used] to small things'.  Others criticized Lye for possibly putting the pregnant woman in harms way, pointing out that her boyfriend could have been abusive.

Tenant killed by thugs over N200 debt in Lagos

A 27-year-old man, Michael Abodurin, has been stabbed to death by hoodlums called by his landlady, Mrs. Idowu Adenekan, in the Oworonsoki area of Lagos.  Punch learnt the  problem had started after the deceased’s friend could not pay back the N200 he borrowed from the landlady last year.

It was gathered that after it dawned on the landlady,  Adenekan that the debtor would not pay the debt, she allegedly unleashed her thugs on the carpenter and his friend. In the process, Adenekan was killed. A bottle was smashed on Adenekan’s head after which he was stabbed with a pair of scissors in the chest. He died before he could get medical help.

According to the residents, the incident happened on Saturday around 11pm. A resident, who pleaded anonymity, said: I had just returned from work that day when I met them arguing over N200. I was told that Abodurin’s friend had owed the landlady the money since last year and he had not visited the house since then. But he came on a visit that Saturday and when the landlady saw him, she demanded her money, which the man said he did not have. She insisted on collecting the money from him despite interventions from the people around. When everybody saw that she would not let the matter rest, Abodurin offered to pay the money, but she refused. Her aged father also gave her the money, but she refused. At least three people offered to pay the money, but she insisted that the debtor must pay her.

” Another resident, Chigozie Odinaka, said as the argument continued, some hoodlums invited by Adenekan started to make trouble with the unidentified friend. Odinaka, who described the landlady as a troublesome woman whom they all feared in the neighbourhood, said in the ensuing scuffle, Abodurin was hit on the head with a bottle. “As the fight degenerated, Adenekan was struck with a bottle in the head. As he was going to report at the police station, one of the hoodlums went after him and stabbed him in the chest with a scissors, which led to his death,” he added.

The matter was said to have been reported at the Oworonsoki Police Division. The landlady and a suspect, who stabbed the deceased, were taken into custody as some aggrieved friends of the deceased threatened to burn down the house.

Maid invited robbers to rob her boss in Lagos

Operatives at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Lagos, are currently investigating two robbers, allegedly invited by a housemaid to rob her boss (names withheld) in Magodo Estate, Lagos State.

According to reports, the housemaid, simply identified as Mary, connived with the robbers, identified as Ikong Daniel, 22, her lover, and Pius Dennis, 20, to rob her boss a few days after she was employed.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that Mary took them into her boss’ bedroom, where they stole her money, gold jewellery and other valuables. However, trouble started when the maid escaped with the proceeds of the operation. Unfortunately, Ikong Daniel and Pius Dennis were arrested while attempting to escape. Confessing to the crime, Daniel said.... :

“It was my girlfriend, Mary, that perfected the plan to rob her madam. She recently started work there as a housemaid and invited us to the house. I did not plan with Mary to rob her boss. We have been dating for about three months.  “Dennis got involved because I invited him. I told him that when he closed from work he should come to my house, because it had been over a year since we saw each other.

“After he closed, we went to my house in Ikorodu. When we got home, my girlfriend, Mary, called me on phone that I should come to where she was working at Magodo. “I did not have money.  It was Dennis that loaned me money for transportation from Ikorodu to Magodo. When we got there, she opened the gate and took us inside.

“When we got there, she said we should come inside that we have an assignment to carry out. She took us inside to her madam’s bedroom and asked us to hold the woman that there was money in the house.I do not know the exact amount or the worth the jewelleries she collected. It was Mary that also brought the knife we used to frighten the woman during the operation. I assisted her to hold the woman, while she parked her valuables.Mary, who is also from Cross River State, was able to escape with the proceeds from the operation. She promised to share with us whatsoever we made from the operation.

”  Dennis, a commercial bike operator, confirmed Daniel’s story, adding “we were almost out of the estate when operatives of Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, apprehended us and brought us to Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.It was Daniel that held the madam down, while his girlfriend packed the jewellery, money and other valuables. The mistake I made was not leaving when I realized that his girlfriend had invited us to rob her boss.”

Why you should vote for me- Buhari Wrote Letter to APC delegates

As 12 APC governors have already pledged their allegiance to him,Rochas Okorocha has also stepped down from the presidential race for him.Atiku Abubakar has reached out to the delegates who are his only hope of securing votes to be the presidential flag bearer of APC.Buhari penned a heartfelt letter to the delegates on why they should vote for him..

My Dear Delegates, As you gather for our convention, please remember that history, change and the hopes of Nigeria are there with you.
They are there to ask you to perform according to your best judgment and patriotic conscience. I also ask you to do the same. We seek a new Nigeria. It starts with us. It starts today.
I have placed myself before you seeking your help to nominate me as your standard bearer for our progressive party, APC. Personal ambition does not drive me in this regard. I seek to be the next president of our beloved nation because I believe I have something to offer Nigeria at this time of multiple crises.

Insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. Time is past due that we work together to lift Nigeria up. I am ready to lead Nigeria to its rightful future. I have always served Nigeria to the best of my ability. I have always tried to give more to the nation than it has given me. This is the principle of service that has guided my public life.

Thus, I am not a rich person. I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so. The fate of this nation is not up for sale. What I will give you, and this nation is all of my strength, commitment, sweat and toil in the service of the people. What I can give you is my all. I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help.

I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behavior and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity. Nigeria is our home. Let us now turn it into the great nation we know it can and should be.
I thank you all

Atiku is Impatient and over Ambitious- Obasanjo

Below is an excerpt from Obasanjo's book...as posted on Facebook.

"By the Constitution, I had to inaugurate or prorogue the National Assembly on June 4, 1999. The most important officer in the National Assembly is the senate president and that office had been zoned to the South-east. And here was where Atiku Abubakar, my vice-president,first showed his hand and his character.

“Without seeking my view or approval, he started planning the installation of Chuba Okadigbo as the senate president. I did a background check on Chuba including his past as a student and made enquiries about him in the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) under (President Shehu) Shagari and no one would recommend him for the post of senate president. “I left Atiku to go on his chase while I carried out a meticulous and detailed investigation and background check on each senator from the South-east. The one that appeared most appointable was Evan Enwerem. I canvassed the senate across the board for his election and he was elected. Atiku did not expect it and he felt sore.

“He began to strategise for Enwerem to be removed and Chuba Okadigbo to be installed. His strategy worked because I was at Abuja airport to receive a visiting head of state when the news reached me that the Senate had impeached Enwerem and elected Okadigbo. I was not perturbed. I came to understand from some senators including Florence Ita-Giwa, who later became my Special Adviser/ Liaison Officer to the National Assembly, that Atiku distributed US$5,000 each to some senators to carry out the ‘coup’. “That was the beginning of bribing the legislature to carry out a particular line of action to suit or satisfy the purpose or desire of an individual or a group. The National Assembly had tasted blood and they would continue to want more. From the day I nominated Atiku to be my vice, he set his mind not for any good, benefit or service of the country, but on furiously planning to upstage, supplant or remove me at all cost and to take my place.

“That was what I brought him for, but he was impatient and over-ambitious.He was not ready to learn and to wait. His marabout, who predicted that despite being elected as governor, he would not be sworn in as a governor, which happened, also assured him that he would take over from me in a matter of months rather than years. “All his plans, appointments of people and his actions were towards the actualisation of his marabout’s prediction. Once I realised his intention and programme, I watched him like a hawk without giving any indication of what I knew and letting down my guard. I could not succumb to the distraction, diversion and malevolence of an ambitious but unwise deputy.

“The work in hand was more important than a confrontationalrelationship with my deputy, a man over whom I knew I had far more experience and outreach in all matters. To alert him of what I knew he was up to, would only lead to lying, denial, more mischievous plans and more duplicity on his part. “He was better managed that way. What was important was not allowing myself to be surprised or outmanoeuvred by him. I must always seize the initiative and know what was going on if not in his mind, but at least in his camp. That I did very effectively.

“Sometime in the fourth quarter of 2004, an associate of Atiku came to my residence at the Aso Villa from Atiku’s official residence. He felt uncomfortable and I tried to make him feel at ease. Then, he settled to tell me the story of what had just transpired in Atiku’s residence. I listened with rapt attention. “He went on to say that Atiku told him that for him to become the President of Nigeria, the 2007 elections were only a formality.

“The seven ingredients he needed for his enthronement were already in his hands. He controlled the National Assembly because both the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representativeswere in his pocket. He controlled twenty-eight out of thirty-six governors. He had control of the media. His influence over the judiciary was overwhelming.

“What he needed was foreign endorsement and for that he had employed two lobby groups in the US and one in the UK. And finally, the money for the elections was in his purse. “When the man finished, I thanked him without passing any comment. The man was surprised at my reaction and asked, ‘You have nothing to say to these?’ I said that I had nothing to say and I immediately called my ADC, Chris Jemitola, to play a game of squash with me.

“On our way to the squash court with my ADC, I said, ‘People at times make plans and leave God out of their plans.’ My casual remark struck Chris and he said, ‘Sir, that was a profound statement.’ I said that I made the statement because of what I had just heard of Atiku’s plan. I was not convinced he had put God in his plans. “Atiku was confident and God was laughing. Most of Atiku’s ingredients soon started to fall out of place one by one. The first was the party, PDP. “He thought I was powerless and had no clue about the execution of his plan with his group; part of his attack on me was for national chairman of the party to give the first salvo, then other things would follow as his grip on the party would be firm and consolidated.

“That salvo came in the form of a letter to me from the chairman of the party, Audu Ogbeh, who had fully defected with (Iyorchia) Ayu to Atiku. “The letter, which was not the product of any issue or matter discussed with or at any party meeting, came suddenly. When I received it, I could read the sinister intention behind it. “I spent that night writing my reply and I sent it in the morning. My reply was clear. I wondered why Atiku and his group did not realise that with my reply, the battle line was clear or maybe they thought that the seven ingredients would remain intact to the end.

“My assistants had moles within the Atiku group. Anything that they planned would be reported. That was the case after Ogbeh’s letter. They decided that Ogbeh should appear remorseful and come with the National Working Committee to apologise to me. It was not from their hearts, but to lure me to a ‘killing ground’. “All pieces of information that were reported were verified because it would not come from only one informant. Timely information is a very important principle of war and also of politics. In politics, just as in war, what matters is not just your plan, but knowledge of your opponent’s plan. Knowing their plan, I had the choice of playing along with them or being firm, I chose the latter.

“I told Ogbeh that my relationship with him as national chairman and me as national leader of the party was based on mutual confidence and trust. But with his letter, my reply and what I knew of him then, I could no longer work with him in confidence and trust. “There were only two choices left for both of us in our best interest and that of the party – he, leaves as chairman or I leave as leader of the party. “The following Sunday, I called at his house, which I had done on several occasions in the past when there was an important party matter to discuss. This time, I asked him to give me an undated letter of resignation as the national chairman.

“I waited, he gave me but it was wrongly addressed to me rather than to the national secretary of the party as stipulated in the party’s constitution. “Ogbeh reported to his group and it was decided by them to play on and to wait for my disgrace whenever I presented a letter of resignation not addressed to the national secretary. “The informants did their job and I, once again, paid another visit to Ogbeh at his residence. He entertained me to a meal and drink, and changed the addressee on his letter of resignation.

“It would appear he never reported the change to his group. When I considered it opportune and appropriate, the letter was dated and presented to National Executive Committee of the party, which regrettably accepted the resignation. “With that, whatever control Atiku claimed to have over the party began to crumble. But he did not think so and went on to boast that if I made my daughter the national chairman, it would be a matter of weeks not months before he would put her in his pocket.

“I therefore had to look for a successor chairman, who would be too big, uncompromising and inflexible to be lured and controlled by Atiku. I found such a man in Senator (Dr.) Amadu Ali, whom I had known many years earlier as a medical doctor in the army…”

Culled from Obasanjo's book

IG,SSS confiscate Obasanjo's new book, Court orders

A High Court in Abuja today Wednesday December 10th ordered the Inspector General of Police, Director-General of State Security Services and Controller General of Nigeria Customs Services to confiscate Obasanjo`s book, 'My Watch' from public vendors, NAN reports.

Justice Valentine Ashi, gave the order after former President Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly went ahead to publish his book titled “ My Watch’’ in spite of a court order made on Dec. 5, restraining him from making the publication. "I am of the view that the defendant having gone ahead to publish the book, he should therefore show cause within 21 days of the order served on him on why he should not be punished for contempt of court.

"The Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of State Security Services and the Controller General of Nigeria Customs Services are hereby directed to recover the book from sales vendors,” the Judge ordered. He directed that the book should be kept with the registrar of the court pending the determination of the suit. Ashi also restrained the defendant from further printing, publishing or circulating the book “ My Watch’’ which, he said “touches on the subject matter of the suit before the court.’’ Earlier, counsel to Obasanjo, Mr Realwan Okpanachi, told the court that the book was published before the order was granted. Okpanachi argued that the book had been in circulation since November and the order was made on Dec. 5.

The Counsel to Buruji Kashamu, Mr Alex Izinyo, SAN, submitted that the defendant`s application was a calculated attempt to deceive the court. Izinyo argued that the defendant admitted in his motion papers that the book was published on Nov. 10 and in another paragraph, it was also stated that the book was published on Nov. 2. “My lord, the burden of proof lay with the defendant to show the court three volumes of the book,’’ he said. Ashi adjourned to Jan. 13 and 14, 2015, for hearing of the substantive case.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the plaintiff Mr Buruji Kashamu, had earlier dragged former President Olusegun Obasanjo before the court for libel. NAN further recalls that Kashamu alleged that the former addressed him as ex-convict in the letter he wrote to President Goodluck Jonathan titled, “Before it is too late’’.
