15 Dead As Boko Haram Attacks Market in Borno

At least 15 people died yesterday June 15th after men suspected to be  Boko Haram sect launched an attack on traders at a local market in Daku village of Askira Uba LGA of Borno state around 11am. The men numbering over 20 and armed with AK-47 rifles, with explosive Devices and petrol bombs stormed the market square on motorcycles and a Hilux Toyota vehicle, and opened fire at people in the market.

Many shops, houses, vehicles and motorcycles were destroyed during the attack.  Sources say the men  collected foodstuffs and money from the traders.
