A robber's getaway was foiled by technology, traffic and a hail of police bullets that left him mortally wounded inside his vehicle. Scott Kato, armed with a silver Hi-Point 9-mm. handgun, held up a pharmacy on Second Ave. near E. 68th St. around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
He asked for Oxycontin, cops said. When frightened employees didn’t give him enough of the highly addictive painkiller, he demanded more, then barged behind the counter of the HealthSource Pharmacy and helped himself to $200 in cash, sources said. Kato, 45, hopped behind the wheel of a black Jeep Compass and drove north.
