President Jonathan Did Not Invite APC Governors To Security Meeting

Goodluck Jonathan and his PDP government did not invite APC governors to security meeting for reasons best known to them, but I think the best way to tackle the present security problems in this country is by bringing everybody together irrespective of the party they belong to rather than discrimination. It appears some people believe they have more stake in Nigeria than others. It is sad.The fact that most of the states affected by boko haram insurgence are APC controlled states does not mean that the governors are behind it.
Governor Godswill Akpabio tried to justify Jonathan's action. Hear him below:

“”No, No, No; they (APC governors) were not invited. You know there was an initial requisition of this meeting by the PDP governors, this was as a fall out of our own meeting. And so it wasn’t something that was extended to all.” But it is interesting to know that President Jonathan's assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, lambasted all the opposition governors on Thursday for "failing" to attend the security meeting, yet they were not invited. While Governor Akpabio tried to paint a picture that the meeting is for ‘PDP’, two non-PDP governors were at the meeting. Governors Willie Obiano of Anambra (APGA) and Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo (Labour Party) attended the meeting. Politics in Nigeria is getting dirty by the day.
